My cartooning conspirator Joe Berger has a great new book coming out called Lyttle Lies. This is the trailer for it, and Joe wanted some kind of wonky jazz to accompany it, so came to me. I'm not sure of the jazz quality, but I'm pretty confident it is wonky.
In no particular order
No idea what picture to use for this update, so opted for one of me fishing with hydrophones in Sweden, apropos of precisely nothing.
Just finished some title music and incidental scoring for a show that is to be aired next year on UKTV, called Henry IX, written by Dick Clement and Ian La Frenais. So look out for that if there's still a planet Earth in 2017.
Working again with G-Labs in the US, have been scoring and sound designing a podcast for them, called Progress Personified. It follows on from the Defining Moments series from earlier in the year.
Also over at Guardian towers, I've been delving in to ambisonics and VR sound, helping out on Underworld and some of the forthcoming VR material for next year.
Enough already.
Gun Nation
I wrote some music and did the sound edit on this documentary, written and directed by Zed Nelson, about gun owners in the US – the first of a new series with the Guardian. Click on the image to see the film, or view the interactive on the Guardian website.
Games Night
I composed and produced the music for this pilot show, directed by Martin Morrison, writtten by Martin, Sam Morrison and Andrew Endersby, starring Toby Williams. Lovely end titles from my partner in crime Joe Berger.
Is this some sort of joke?
Love it when people actually request awfullness. Was asked to go pompous for this trailer for the new show by Will Adamsdale and co. Spent the rest of the day saying "In a world …"
